Characteristics of The Puggle

Puggles are self-assertive, confident dogs that are great for families. Low-maintenance dog that shedding will happen twice a year - once in the Spring and then again in the Fall. Their coats are short. Wrinkly face with dark eyes and snout.

Puggles have a more elongated snout which eliminates the breathing problems that are associated with the Pug. They also inherit more energy and agility from the Beagle and the keen sense of smell.

We have exciting news! The Publisher contacted us for information about Puggles and we submitted pictures that past families had sent us over the years. The original published date was 2021. If you wanted to check out this book, it can be found on Amazon.

The Puggle Colors Defined

    Classic Fawn

    The most common color in the Puggle breed is the fawn with white chest and feet. They are sired by our fawn colored Pug, Bowie.

    Brindle

    In 2023, we had our first brindle colored babies that were sired by Pugsley. He is our black Pug which carries he brindle color (his mom is brindle).

    Black/White

    1st Generation means that the parents are Beagle (mom) and a Pug (dad). Our Beagle moms are between 12”-15” at the shoulder. Click here to see the parents.

    Tri Color 2nd Generation Puggle

    In the 2nd generation Puggle, you will see more variation of color which could include tri color, black/white, & fawn/white.
